When is the Clinic Open?

The clinic is part of the Ohana Wellness Centre.

Please ask about appointments times available.

We are available for appointments Fridays and Sundays by request.

We do suggest and encourage that you schedule an appointment a week or more in advance to ensure your preferred time;
However, some days we may be able to accommodate last-minute or emergency bookings.

How Do I Book An Appointment?

Please phone Ohana at 705-752-0294 to speak with a Therapist or leave a detailed message. We also book online via this web site. Look for the button to the left. We respond to all messages as promptly as possible, and in the order they are received. New clients, please call the office for your first appointment so we can discuss your payment options and other details. Thank you!

What is the Cost?

Rates are plus HST where applicable, and are subject to change without notice.

  • 30 minute “Quick tune-up” Appointment – $40 +HST
  • 60-90 minute “Flat Fee” Appointment – $70 +HST
  • 75 minute Private Yoga/OmGym/Coaching Session – $70 +HST
  • 120 minute Wellness Consultation/Assessment – $125 +HST

Appointments for New Clients are for a minimum of 90 minutes.

Cancellation Policy;

The full rate of the appointment will be charged if an appointment is changed or cancelled without 24-hours notice.

What Form of Payment Do You Accept?

We accept cashcheque, major credit cards (via Square) and most credit and debit cards via Paypal. You can pay online here.

Payment is due at Time of Service, or you can pre-pay online.

Does My Extended Healthcare Cover Appointments?

Most services are not covered in our experience. Our professional associations are working hard to correct this. That said some of the extended health care plans cover Natural/Natruo Therapy Appointments which may cover you. Check with your insurance policy for details but typically policies have percentage coverage up to a dollar amount (eg. 80% coverage up to $500 per calendar year). A prescription from your MD may override policies limits so check on that possibility as well.

What Is Included in the Appointment Time?

Your appointment time and fee is the actual ‘hands-on’ time.  All assessment & evaluation, client education, and administration, time is free so expect to be in the clinic an additional 15-20min. Consider this a value add.

Do I Need a Doctor’s Referral?

No, but you will require a doctor’s referral if required by your extended medical insurance policy. Otherwise, no you do not need a referral, but if your doctor has given you a referral, we would appreciate having a copy of it on file.

Do I Need to Bring Anything With Me?

Only if applies to you- a doctor’s referral (see previous question for requirements), any other important medical documents you would like us to be aware of.

You will be asked to fill out a confidential health history form before your first treatment. If you would like, you can view it online here, print and fill it out, and bring the form with you to the appointment.

Do You Have Gift Certificates?

Gift Certificates are available and are a great way to treat someone special to the gift of Health

What do I wear to therapy?

At Naturally Well, we use a whole body treatment approach called Myofascial Release as one of our primary therapies.  For this to work effectively we need to be able to have skin to skin contact as much as is possible and appropriate.  This is a whole body approach and so even if your pain seems to be located in a very specific location we may be assess other parts of your body and fascial system to see if other restrictions are contributing to your pain.

Because MFR requires movement that is not traditional to massage type work,  The less a client is wearing but still modest the better. We will need to be able to assess the structures of your body visually and by palpation (touch). Access to as much of the body surface as possible is necessary as the surface of the body is used to manipulate the inner structures. You will always be expertly draped(covered), exposing only what is needed for treatment. Your comfort is paramount.

We respect any special considerations that may arise and encourage you to speak to us if you have any more specific questions or concerns about what to wear to therapy.

Please DO NOT PUT LOTION ON YOUR SKIN prior to your MFR session. We must gently “anchor” into your skin (like sinking into wet sand or clay) without sliding or gliding through lotion.

Should I receive Myofascial Release treatment if I am already receiving another form of treatment such as Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Traditional massage etc.?

Absolutely, yes. Myofascial Release treatment will not interfere in any way with adjacent therapies. Creating a more favourable environment in the body for change to occur will simply enhance the results of simultaneous treatment modalities.
